Prayer is always our first move.

Jesus prayed constantly because prayer is an essential part of life with God. We bring God our desires, needs, hopes, fears, praise, confusion—all of it. And God responds to our prayers. That’s why prayer is always our first move. To do anything worth doing, we need God to direct us and sustain us. Will you pray with us?

“God, it is beyond our power to build your church. Only you do that. Deliver us from the desire to make a name for ourselves. Make a Name for yourself through us. Amen.”

“God, our neighborhood is groaning for you to bring reconciliation, peace, and healing (Romans 8:19-23). Walk with us as we enter into the groaning to offer friendship and the good news about Jesus. Amen.”

“God, we want our neighbors to know the goodness of relationship with you. Allow us to be conduits of your grace and love as we live and work with you in Eastie. Amen.”

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
